Corrugated Metal Was Not Meant to Last Forever

Let's face it: corrugated metal, with its propensity to rust and buckle, was not meant to last forever -- 20 to 30 years is its designed life. Your replacement options include digging and its unavoidable disruption, sliplining with its reduced capacity, or expensive cured-in-place liners.

But without digging, without liners, without reduction of capacity, and at significant savings, Centri-pipe creates a new, structurally sound concrete pipe inside the old one. This new pipe is 100% environmentally sound, waterproof, fully sealed from end to end. And it provides highly effective corrosion protection that can double the life of the pipe.

Cost of Culvert Failure
As America’s infrastructure ages, the risk of failures increases. Bridge corrosion, road and utility degradation are becoming an increasing concern for agencies across the United States. Culvert pipe failures under major roads throughout the United States are no different as these catastrophic failures have resulted in sinkholes, road damage and flooding.

These incur great costs to:
  • government agencies that have to fix/replace pipes at emergency rates
  • private land owners who are often effected by flooding damage, and,
  • motoring public in terms of user delays.
Additionally, safety and liability issues also arise due to such failures.

Centri-Pipe: Another Trenchless Solution from AP/M PERMAFORM

  • Action Products Marketing Corporation (AP/M) began rehabilitating manholes in 1985 with its patented PERMAFORM system for the replacement of manholes without digging and without interrupting flows.
  • AP/M recognizes that not all manholes needed complete replacement. So, we developed a cast in place sealing and reinforcing system using the high strength, centrifugally cast PERMACAST specialty mortars.
  • This same system was adapted for use in storm and sanitary sewer pipe from 36 inches to 120 inches in diameter.
